Bird on the Rocks

Bird on the rocks
Carving
I will be spending a good part of my Saturday at the dentist and carving out this bird stamp based on a design I painted on a rock last year.
If you want to learn my stamp carving techniques in depth
my book "Making An Impression" is now available :-)
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Painted eucalyptus leaf
These past few weeks I've been drawing like crazy for a project I can't talk about yet but today I took a little break to paint some pretty eucalyptus leaves I found during my walk with Manolo & Turbo. I used a size 0 liner brush and acrylic ink.

Birthday Giveaway!

B-Day giveaway
I'm celebrating my 45th birthday today and as Sugar Ray Leonard wisely said 'it's better to give than to receive' so I want to give y'all a chance to share in the joy with this little giveaway. The prize is one of my original watercolors "Peonies", a typical Mexican 70% chocolate bar and a small bouquet of paper flowers. Leave a comment this weekend for a chance to win. I will pick a random name on Monday morning (Mexican time).

***Comments are now closed. I will chose a random winner and announce it later today.
Thank you so much for all the birthday love, you guys are the best!

Variations of Green

Opuntias
Calla Lily
Smoke
By the side of the road
Gate
Nasturtiums
Beautiful trio
Now all the pretty greens I saw yesterday.
We went on a short road trip with Manolo & the boys to the nearby town of Avandaro. The countryside was gorgeous and brimming with blooming cosmos & fall wild flowers.
We saw shepherds with their sheep, roaming cows and beautiful horses galloping with their foals. There a few things I enjoy more than road trips during this time of year.
